English for Business

A blended-mode training program for businesspeople and professionals, titled “Business and Marketing English Communication,” was developed and implemented by IATELS to help them improve their English communicative skills.

The IATELS-organized training program was a highly successful, blended-mode initiative designed to enhance English communication skills for professionals in international business and marketing.

The program’s hybrid format effectively brought together participants from various countries, including Ukraine, Turkey, Pakistan, Bolivia, India, and Azerbaijan, with a combination of online sessions and face-to-face participation in Bursa, Turkey.

This approach not only facilitated cross-cultural interaction but also exposed attendees to diverse professional communication styles and cultural nuances. The curriculum focused on practical business communication, with topics ranging from business plan development and market needs to negotiation strategies and networking in national and international context.

It employed a problem-based and project-based methodology, where participants collaboratively tackled business scenarios and developed practical outputs.

Role-plays, discussions, and small group work were used to create an interactive learning environment, fostering active participation and confidence. The program also included competitive challenges to motivate engagement and ended with a reflective self-assessment and a test.

Training Outcomes

The training resulted in a significant increase in the participants’ confidence when speaking in a multinational group, with many reporting a newfound comfort in cross-cultural communication. They developed practical skills in organizing and presenting business-related topics, enabling them to articulate their ideas more effectively in professional settings.

The participants who completed the program successfully were awarded a Certificate of Completion.
