Prof. Dr. Piet Kommers is a leading figure in the field of educational technology, specializing in the use of media for communication and learning. As an Emeritus Professor at the University of Twente, he has pioneered research in advanced learning tools such as concept mapping, virtual reality, and mobile learning.

In IATELS, Prof. Dr. Piet Kommers contributes to the development of the Association work framework, pioneering new research directions in technology and education, methodology of new educational approaches and learning scenarios, focussing on AI and related solutions.
