We invite researchers, practitioners, and educators from all disciplines to submit their abstracts and contribute to the vibrant discussions at ICET 2027!

Conference Sub-themes

The Green Curriculum: Engineering Education for a Regenerative Global Economy

  • Focus: Integrating Climate Literacy across all disciplines, including engineering, technology, business, and vocational training. This track will focus on aligning curriculum with the EU Green Deal compliance and circular economy principles.

  • Topic Urgency: It addresses the growing need for a “Green Workforce” capable of addressing climate challenges. This track is relevant to technical universities, business schools, and vocational institutions.

  • Sub-topics:
    • Eco-design in vocational training
    • Sustainability auditing in business schools
    • Case studies of green industrial hubs

Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) in the Digital Age

  • Focus: Examining the role of SEL in fostering responsible digital citizenship, empathy, and emotional intelligence in online learning environments.

  • Topic Urgency: It addresses the challenges and opportunities presented by digital technologies in education.

  • Sub-topics:
    • Developing SEL skills in virtual classrooms
    • Promoting mental health and well-being in digital spaces
    • Addressing online harassment and cyberbullying

Inclusive Excellence through Technology

  • Focus: Exploring the use of technology to create inclusive and accessible learning experiences for diverse student populations.

  • Topic Urgency: It aligns with the goal of ensuring equitable access to high-quality education for all.

  • Sub-topics:
    • Universal Design for Learning (UDL) in digital resources
    • Assistive technologies for students with disabilities
    • Creating culturally relevant and inclusive curriculum

Digital Well-Being and Educational Practice

  • Focus: Investigating the impact of technology on student and teacher well-being and identifying strategies for promoting healthy digital habits.

  • Topic Urgency: It addresses the concerns about the negative effects of technology on mental and physical health.

  • Sub-topics:
    • Managing screen time and digital distractions
    • Fostering mindful technology use in education
    • Addressing the impact of social media on well-being

Important Dates

  • Abstract Submission Deadline: 10 April, 2027
  • Early Registration: 10 November, 2026
  • Regular Registration: 10 March, 2027
  • Late Registration: 26 April, 2027
  • Conference Dates: 28 – 30 April, 2027

Submission Guidelines

  • Abstracts should be of 200 – 250 words.
  • Please include a title, list of authors, affiliation, a list of 3-5 keywords.
  • Abstracts should clearly state the research objective, methodology, and key findings.
  • All submissions must be original work.
  • Short bios of all authors (100 – 150 words) should be provided.
  • Formal pictures of all authors must be added to the short bios as separate files.

Review Process

  • Abstracts will be peer-reviewed by a panel of experts in the field.
  • Acceptance decisions will be based on the quality, relevance, originality of the work, its compliance with the aims of the conference.
